i was wondering if steelfang is still useful in the godmode build now that it has a 1 second recharge

It is, just so long as you remember to wait until it recharges before using the next d-slash. I think so anyways. You'd probably have SY up 3/4ths of the time at rank 1 anyways.

I replaced it with Air of Superiority, but that's just personal preference. It's still probably pretty viable, you just need to wait till it's recharged before hitting D-slash again, and then hit a couple times before using Brawling.

Still useful, but clunky. VERY clunky.
Take it if there's nothing else you want to bring with that slot, but go ahead and drop it if there's something else you really want to bing (like Mending Touch, Lion's Comfort, Conjure, another PvE skill, etc.).
Steelfang's slot turned into my optional slot after the nerf.

Theres a 1 second wait between Steelfang and DSlash. That's not a problem for me.

The only time Steel Fang Slash ever leaves my bar is when the monsters I'm fighting are immune to KD. Otherwise, 10 adrenaline with FGJ up (which lasts 30 seconds for me btw)? Yes please! 5 Adrenaline to charge my dragon slash during the 15 seconds of FGJ downtime? zomg game over kthxbai!

It slows the build down a bit since Steelfang no longer charges itself (which is the real point of the cooldown), but even without alterations it still triggers often enough to be worthwhile - it's just harder to keep a target knocklocked outside of FGJ!. Whether it's better to have something else instead... well, your mileage may vary.

Yes, Steelfang is worth it.
[[steelfang [email protected]] vs. [[galrath [email protected]] / [[silverwing [email protected]] (only comparable skills)
+29 damage, +5 ADR if the target is KD vs. +37 damage... since you're running Knocklock, it's worth every click of the skill, both pre- and post-nerf...

It's too "clunky" for me. Since it's no longer smooth, enemies tend to die at the wrong time, leaving me with Steelfang fully charged, but headbutt and Dslash empty.
I like the AoS suggestion. Pretty good chance of perma-FGJ.

Yea i find the same problem, not all the time, but it interupts your chain and if it's mid-mob it's a pain to build up the adrenaline again before FGJ ends unless you get lucky and [Enraging Charge] is recharged.. It's still a good skill, it just doesn't recharge itself.
